What i am chasing is anyone out there with photo's of a series one Disco running on 265/75r16 tyres and the appropriate amount of lift...
I would really appreciate cause im trying to work out what size of tyre i need to go.

thats a shade under 32x10.5, if my quick calculation was correct - I THINK you can do that on a D1 with just a 2 inch spring lift.... 1 inch bodylift on top would make it almost a certainty, I would guess.
84 Rangie, 3 inch spring lift, 2 inch body, Megasquirted 4.6, R380, rear Maxi, 34x11.5 JT2s. Simex FM installed.

I ran 265 70 on a D1, with standard suspension and no body lift, the rear of the rear guards cut out slightly. No problems with clearances and the disco got a fair bit of offroad use.
265 75 not hugely different, although I would give it a 50mm spring lift.

I beleive its only running about 40mm spring lift and cut gaurds - good size tyre too works out about 33x10 - i am looking at fiting this size on my D2

some sort of spring lift, NO boy lift, 265/75r16, std rims, will touch as marked (serious trimming required), WILL rub on radius arm's and it WILL PISS YOU OFF!!!!
265/75r16, gard chop, offset rim's, PERFECT no rubbing
alot of angle grinding (including triming 2" off the bull bar). 285/75r16, they touch the wheel tubs front and rear at full flex (can be fixed with bottom out spacers)! oh yeah looks better and wheels so much better!!

BEST OPTION FOR YOU GUY'S THAT WANT TALLER RUBBER, BUT DONT WANT TO CUT TOO MUCH OFF YOUR CAR........
there is one other option, 235/85r16 on 16 x 6.5 rr steel rims, these will require alittle trimming on the rear and will only slightly rub the radius arm's, also they are taller (just over 32") and cheeper then 265/75's, bfg make they and i even think you could get them in maxxis bighorn style, should even fit on your spare wheel carrier on rear door.
