I got a 6.2 V8 diesel engine with an alternater from a landcruiser 2H diesel engine mounted to it.
The alternater died on the weekend and locked up, I have a feeling it seized a bearing or something.... so the thing I need to know, keeping in mind that the alternater is the vaccum for the brake booster...
is, which other types/model of alternater would suit this application.... I wouldn't mind getting something that charges better as I will be getting a winch in the not to distant future and running duel batteries too. I can make new brackets up to suit, so thats no worries.
