Post by A1 »

As it says just after some pics peoples opinions on sliders , best options in ways of fittin ,different styles , prefer on shorty mavz of pootrolz , but any info will help just wantin to get some designs happenin,

As i stand now my option was gunna be weldin em on the chassis but this may cause probs at time of engineerin?...............

i have had asearch but the only pics i had found on previous posts was on cruisers.................And of course the most recent been the overkill Gu ................

The kind of style im after is similiar to that fitted to the WIZARD gu ute .....

This is how I made mine for my extra cab hilux.
Mounts sleeve chasi with bolts.
Full length RHS under sill panel seam so if they ever flex up the load is distributed over a large area.

Funny you should mention this as i started making a set for my Cruiser today.
As Ausyota said my idea was to run a length of RHS under the sill but i welded it to the existing ARB side steps so it can be removed if needed.

really depends on what ya looking for, if you want full sill protection for rock work then the above post is excelent... if its more for scrub protection then the steps in the pic below are excelent aswell....

They provide good sill and side protection aswell as some front guard protection but would not stand up for long in rock crawling senarious....

Mine have had a beating and are still straight and have the scars to prove that, they certainly have paid for em selves in reguard to the panel damage I would have substained

I have made steel ones of the same design and they are more durable than the alloy one's on my rig
And your cry-baby, whinyassed opinion would be.....?
