Post by muddylux »

Got a 93 Lux with 2" spring lift and trimed guards and will be moving the front diff forward 33mm. Will I be able to run 35's on it whith this set up, and if so would I be better to run Cruiser offset rims and why.

If your getting steering arm shortened/adjustable and tail shaft lenghtend go 50mm that way the option is there for RUF and mines around the 35 mark and they hit a bit still after heavy handed sledge hammer work you'll prob have to run spacers or fliped rims so the wheels don't hit shock mounts on front and they'll buff chassis on rear when flexed, Mine with the 31's no spacers hit chassis on rear, and yeah if running 35x11.5 or 35x12.5 id at least run a 8" wide rim(cruiser) they recomend a 10" rim for my 11.5 simex's

They hit it that photo and wheel isn't at full lock
You can see if that wheel was turned they would scrub and that isn't quite fully compressed

i dont see why you'd have a problem with 3 inch spring and body lift mine when at ride height sitting level the 35" tyre on the rear sat an inch up on the chasis. as in where the rear steel bumpstop is. i even ran this setup without the diff forward for about 4 trips and was only gettin light to medium scrubbing.
i now have rears up front and should clear 38's
will try and get some more pics

Good  and aslo offset comes into play when the wheel turns with larger offset it will move further if you need more of explanation just say and i'll do some sketches to explain it

35s

Post by tuff-lux »

Gday mate i ran my 35 claws with little scrubing, i then ran 4" springs with snake extended sha and and 3" body blocks without any gaurd trimming and not moving the front diff forward. BUT i would ifiwasyou run less lift in springs and put rear springs in front to move the front diff and get better flex. and trim the gaurds if need be but mine was just to tippy the first way i did it. Also off set rims or wheel spaces help keep it stable with a wider track to even out the extra hight.

springs

Post by tuff-lux »

in most cases you just remove the load barers and they ride ok, you need to look at shocks, brake lines, drive shaft, and steering. if you dont want to do all that you can redrill your spring perchers thats a easy fix with a lot less involved but wont move it as far forward.
