swb vs lwb vids
does anybody have and videos of a swb and a lwb tackling the same track??? just keen to see the difference and who makes it look easier
Re: swb vs lwb vids
kinda pointless really as one track a LWB will be better suited and the next a SWB will be alot of the times depends how far apart the ledges etc are but you will never get a universal "better" setupROGQ wrote:does anybody have and videos of a swb and a lwb tackling the same track??? just keen to see the difference and who makes it look easier
better off learning how to drive what you have imho
don't know specifically, but if you check the vid we have for download at www.pointnshoot.org for stuff recorded around Ripley, you'll likely find footage of a LWB and SWB sierra on the same track...
but also allow for tyres, different suspension, different experience drivers etc.

overall yes but bit too simplistic imho I have seen very steep climbs that a swb was better as it could get onto a ledge before climbing next steps where a lwb was climbing 2 ledges at once and others where swb has enabled moving onto a better line that a lwb had no chance, there is always going to be exceptions which is why i think learn to drive what you haveausyota wrote:Longer wheelbases tend to be more stable on climbs/decents but lose out on manoverablity and ramp over angle.
