got an after market starter for the zook and it works really well except the only problem is that there is a small gap between the top of the housing on the starter and the engine block. What are some high temp sealants I can use to stop mud and crap getting in there?

i had a gap on top of the new starter i put in the Patrol when i did the V8 conversion...... i just used Silastic, it will take the temp of the engine ok. Mine is still there with no dramas.
