Diesel engine with petrol diffs would be first problem that pops to my mind :? Petrol has heaps different ratio's cause of the higher revving engine so it would kill your top speed. (i think :? :D ) So you'd prolly want to swap the entire drivetrain to make it worthwile, in which case u may as well swap it with something that has lockers available.

another thing to think about..... if you fit in a diesel motor with its gearbox that came out of a F75, and still use a f300 diff... that'd be a different story coz the gearing is a bit different...ain't they? what's the difference between a F75 4th gear ratio and f300 4th gear ratio? etc... other thing i'd think about the size of that diesel motor and gearbox fitting into a small feroza... i know the rocky's a little longer but not sure how much bigger the rocky's engine bay is. :?:

my point of view would make a diesel motor a very good bush crawler but i don't think it'd make a good road use vehicle.

my 5 cents

on other thought...

if you fit a diesel to f300 gearbox.. the speed won't be much different due to RPM being the same speed as it still has the gearbox...

eg.. diesel rev at 3000rpm... in f300 5th gear box.. in f300 diffs.. would still give at 85km/hr...

i don't know what rocky would give out at 3000 rpm for what speed, anyone can help??

just there to give you idea what to play with ;)

3000rpm in a rocky is 100-110, depending on model. 4000 is redline ;)
