OK... Well I'm home already...
We did all the events bar one today..
First up, it was a lot harder than last year, and a little less "funkhana" with a little more drive. I found a lot of the courses were designed for LWB.. Overall though, it was a good day, and was certainly fun.
The day started with my first attempt at stage one... Yeah... well.. that's were we discovered that despite the 2" lift, I was in standard class.. soooo we went sorted that out with the officials, and went to the mud run style event. We did that once, and then the organisers realised they had been scoring everyone wrong, soooooo we got to do it again and got 0 points..
After that we drive a few other of the courses, but everything seemed to go in a bit of a blur. I think it had something to do with the competition between Myself and Mark in my drook, and Pyro and his mate Luke in the 80.
The whole competition stopped around 12 for lunch, which is when the Heavens opened. I gotta say this for the Patrol Club, they can stop a drought anywhere, by simply holding an event!
Once things got back underway, Mark and myself decided to have another crack at stage one, driving the easier line. Keep in mind it had just poured down with rain. So we're going great guns, timing was great, we weren't getting stuck anywhere.. on the 2nd last leg, Mark and myself picked the wrong line...
Mud + Steep hill + Ruts + Wrong Line = Almost rollover.
This is the part where I totally shit my pants.
At this point, I was shaking, people were running from everywhere to either help, or watch the chick with the lead foot roll, my undies got a bit smooshy, and my contact lenses were making my eyes water. (Ok so maybe it was the unhappy angle I was sitting at while thinking, "Hmmm... If I move.. I'm going over" that squeezed a few nervous tears out, but we'll keep that between us... )
I was rescued, and given 300 points for my effort Thank you to the kind gentleman who christened my snatch.
After that, i decided it was over. I'd driven 5 of the 8 events, and drove two more. There was a revesing one that I watched a few other people do, and I knew that even before I lost my confidence and nerve, there was no way in hell my car was going to do the reverse course. My drook just doesn't have the guts in reverse, and I watched too many others get hung up.
In the end, I finished with something like 700 or so points, but Im glad I did it. At least I know now how far I can push my little car! I'm proud considering I've been offroad TWICE in the car... Stockton beach does not Cookie Wayne!
Now... Greg... Put down your Jurd's and make with the pics!!!
oh and if anyone got pics of me shitting myself, feel free to send through!

Jess, if you snatch got muddy you should was it straight away
Then wash it again, and again and...
Remember it's your snatch and you canwash it as hard, fast and as frequent as you like, don't let any body tell you otherwise

it was a good weekend. didn't rain at all today. a few people came for the day. was better than last year with a bit tougher tracks for stockers. We also had had a dash for cash hill climb today. $600 winner takes all. Crampy won in a Mid wheelbase 73 cruiser.
All drivers took the comp as serious as needed which means fun all round. was over a couple of thousand dolllars in prizes handed out to the winners.
Make sure your all there next year.
what happened beretta? to many celebration drinks with your bro

okay, we were also down there for the weekend, I was Naving, for a young girl who is in our club, was also on her L's, ad only been offroad like all of twice,
I have to admit, she did verry well in here stock as a rock zook, we were having a small club comp between young and old and she managed to get better times in 4 out of the 8 events, we were unsure on the points but will see when they relase them,
we did however have a smal run in with a tree, which was slight misjudgement, but we have sorted that out, and now she wants to od the zook,
was a well run event, hope evryone else had as much fun as we did,
