IMO, Ute is fixed body, Pickup is removable Styleside (matching bodywork) or Flareside (Stepside) and a Tray is a Cab Chassis with a fabricated steel or alloy body.

Trucks must be able to carry more than 2tonne payload. my 2cents.

So a F250 or F350 is a truck, whereas a F100 - F150 is a pickup? I go along with that.
