I ran stage 2 & had another good night. Thanks to Rudes, Hobzee, Competitors & all the other marshalls. We have lots of photos & video of the night. We only had 2 cars drive the stage with out winching. Wally in the 80 series & a white GQ ute with Pro comps. They both got plentty of air & got over in one go. I think we only had one DNF on the stage. I had 3 people helping who have never been to a 4wding event & had a great time & want to help on the next one. This was only my second time marshalling & i was surprised how many drivers & navys recognised me from the last Navnite. See you next time.

Team bushpigs navi here, thanks to all involved in the event, I had a blast (well for most of the night anyway. Lying under the front of a car in mud that's close to rolling while trying to re-atatch frayed cabble back onto the drum is not that fun)
Well done to all what a great event :)

Radial arm bushes at the body packed there bags and left us on our 2nd stage. Softies. So the car sounded like a metal fabrication workshop all night. I think we should try a country Nissan dealer for the next set, they should be tuffer than thoes city ones

Once again i had a ball marshalling ss2. Good on ya rudes and hobzee, another top event. And thanks too to my fellow marshalls on ss2 and the rest of ya's out there. Well done to the competitors too. We had 18 of 21 starters on ss2 and only one DNF cos of a electrical fault.

Unfortunately the only rangie to start finished the stage :bad-words:   ;) And to add insult to injury an 80series won the stage (well done Wally, we've got video :D Fully sick driving, man  )

If it's any consilation we killed a hilux :) :finger: ;) Hey BTN, hope you boys got home alright. Very respectable time of high 4mins after busting centre uni on rear tailshaft. good stuff guys

For those who don't realise or appreciate the work what marshall's do, go and get fvcked. Nah. just kidding. I dented the shite out of my front guard test driving the stage on 31" A/T's trying to squeeze through a narrow gap b/w the trees. We then decided to allow you to take the wider line.

That big-arse log on ss2 was dragged about a kay and positioned on our stage, tied in place with a drag chain, re-positioned 3 times throughout the night to keep the stage equal for all, and removed in the morning so rudi and hobzee can still get a permit next time.

Top night all who came, and well driven and navved guys&girls!!!!

What a great night..

The Marshalls did an outstanding job. We gave them a bit of license to personalise their stages and they did a brilliant job. It's the Marshalls that maketh the event. Thanks guys.

I like Spectators - don't get me wrong. They are mostly keen well meaning folk who compete in other events or want to compete and talk about the event, coaxing mates into competing - all good stuff. Good thing Rudes and I had CDMA phones for comms as whenever we talked on Ch15 spectators wanted radio checks and wanted to know where the stages were and what sort of cars we were in, etc.. The Spectators were the big thing that stood in the way of permits and CCDA sanctioning. You see if we have spectators we technically need barriers to hold spectators away from harm, we need toilets for them and the list is about 150 pages long..(no kidding). I hope that spectators understand the complications behind the scenes and I want to thank the ones I saw out there for being well mannered and assisted with keeping their rigs out of competitor and marshall areas.

No real nasties to report. A few dents and CV's. Rudes did tell me to put some spare GQ CVs in the 60. Speaking of the 60 series - how embarrassed am I?? It did a good job setting up and getting me around. In my travels I faced the same bog hole that consumed Wally and Johno and it too consumed me - Locky ran my winch cable out for me and went to winch and all went black - fusable link. Made another temporary link only to have flat batteries (nasty short somewhere) and did an engine mount going up the hill that followed. It is sitting in disgrace still covered in mud and soon to be listed for sale or parted out.

Glad everyone had a good time
Thanks, Hobzee.

well i had a great time racing at nav nite.

i stuffed up a few stages but oh well.

ended up squashing the drivers side roof gutter in, dinting abit of the roof, smashed the rear quarter some more which smashed the tail light, all on SS6

keen to see where i came.

if anyone has any pics / video of car 15 (turbo black shorty GQ) please send them to peterbutcher@netspace.net.au

thanks

i'd like to thank rudi, hobzee for putting on another great navnite and hopefully there will be another one or two before the end of the year. Thanks also to all the marshalls that helped, you did a great job, except for 1 marshall who was acting like a dickhead, who was in need of a decent bashing. you know who you are :finger:

Out the Big Red Tool.

Makes a dick of himself on drives and comps.
Had warnings at shows about his behaviour.
Navigator punched a tree instead of him last navnite.
Many people are sick of his know it all crap.

Should reflect on this and learn when to be quiet.

Rudes will post all the low res pics from Anthony Tam, our photographer. He came out for free to see the action and has taken some rippers. If anyone else has pics to share pls PM to "Navrun" to organise and he will host these too. We have some video footage to go toward the 2007 DVD.
