Especially when you taking the body off a ladder chassis, and dropping it onto another ladder chassis.
I believe that thing would be registered as a GQ patrol, as as far as queensland is concerned, its the chassis that dictates the vehicles.
No it is regoed as aFJ 62 because thats what gear box is in it & it is compliance as spring over toyota diffs even though it has a GQ chassie& diffs if I went for chassie swap i would have to reg the car as a brand new vehicle & comply with current 2007 standards to hard.

I spoke to an engineer and said that it would have to be rego'd as a Patrol as the cab would have to match the chassis numbers. How did you go about that, just chop the GQ numbers out and weld the 60series numbers in.. or grind them off and get it restamped???? didn't think that RTA/DOT like'd people playing with chassis numbers at all??? Thats exactly what I have been told and i asked a Queensland Transport dude at the pits at bundal. All DOT care about is the chassis number. Your not doing a chassis swap as far as DOT is concerned, your doing a body swap.
Maybe your engineer has found another way around the problem though.

Took Brutus on a night run on Saturday night @ Ciity view behind brisbane before going decided to take the front sway bar and disconnect completely it made a big difference. & the night run fun to.
