wheel spacers
hey i have a w/t suzi i need some wheel spacers dose any one know where i can get some from brisbane area
thanks
thanks
well they illegal in qld, from what i know.
They like off set rims, are harder on bearings,
They , may improve turning circle , if you had scrubbing on spings while turning.
Will, make car a little wider more stable.
Is reversible.
having seen a few sets, and not actualy driven in car i waiting for others to respond. Personally i think i might, do the off set rims.

its cheaper to buy new wheels than it is to get spacers...i got my 15x8 jeep offset for 55 bux a rim.
ive used spacers on my old 323 race car.
HIGHLY illegal
i had them on the front due to my stupid offset wheels and dumb stud pattern. cant really balance the wheels properly with spacers unless you balance them too which i spose can be done.

your turning circle doesn't realy get better just because you dont hit your springs , you might be able to go full lock but your scrub radious is increased so your turning cirlce generally wont get better , and your steering will get heavier as well due to the same reason .
i run 2" spacers on my n/t makes it same as w/t but harder steering and worse turning circle , but better articulation due to spring mounts on n/t .
i believe if you can get them cheap ( i paid $100 each) they are worth it as can be removed for less bearing wear etc for long trips , rego inspections etc .
on n/t wheel spacers or big offset rims should be made mandatory

I having a set of 50mm spacers made at the moment by a company named Billeu engineering on the Gold Coast in Labrador. Cant tell you the price cause its a mates rate deal but Noel makes spacers all the time for people and his full price is heaps cheaper than what I have seen them go for on the internet by companies like snake racing ($350 each for 1")
Anyway from what i know spacers are illegal - but bolt on spacers are not. They have to be bolted to the hub by equal or better spec bolts then bolt the rim to spacer. I was going to go the wider rim option which is easier and probably cheaper, but I have nice mags so wanted to keep them lol
Ring Noel and and talk to him - let him know jamie from J&J told you call and he will probably look after you

slip on, bolt on, screw on, weld on or tie with brown string...they're illegal for road use in every state of australia regards of how you attach them.Anyway from what i know spacers are illegal - but bolt on spacers are not.
There are two exception, you car can not be made to comply with either of them.
