GU diffs into GQ swb

was thinking of putting GU diffs under my GQ SWB would there be any problems or would it be a straight install

They are both just a bolt in job. The only problem I had when I fitted mine was the rear tailshaft bolt pattern is slightly different but the splines are the same.

So what I did was split the tail shafts and use the rear of a GU one with the front of my GQ one. This is where your going to have problems being a shorty. So I guess you could get a tail shaft specialist to weld the old holes up and put the holes in the correct spot. :?

I don't think it's a job you would want to try at home because it would have to be done spot on or you would get some bad vibrations.

Maybe someone has got a better idea though. ;)

had the same drama so i took the flange off my gq diffs and swapped it with my gu ones. worked sweet as. also I have a gq to gu drag link for sale
