16-18 october - invite only to certain clubs.

If your club did not get invited then no entry and no go bro.

Our club got the nod and we have 23 places booked and have teh entry invites...

Mainly for insurance purposes I beleive.

Little place called BO HO in Vic the bounce comes from being catchy I suppose, I went to the last one fantastic weekend. Seems however to have gone to poop with insurance etc.

Unfortunately there was a death at the last one held, died of non vehicle related illness however this may have caused some issues not sure (don't quote me).

Is that still the format Moose seeing as the event is invite only?

Sad if CHFWDC didn't get one there would be a few dudes there who would enter....

It has changed - its definitely an invite only event guys. Insurance hassles are causing events to become $$$ for anyone trying to get one up.

Its up to the guys who put htis event together as to who they want to invite - The same applies to Go Down.

What sort of dollars are we talking for insurance.

BOHO bounce site is one of the safest event areas for spectators I have seen. Very low risk.

Although I have heard on the grape vine that the quarry used is no longer available.

Events need spectators.

I think a counter campaign on every event should be raised. At the entrance on the PA a publicly anounced amount of the Insurance payed to run the event. If your pissed with this ring, write, hasle your local member.

It is now redicilus the insurance companies have just found a method of extortion. The extortion of fun.

Not anyone I talk to understands the issue if no one understands the issue then we can't change it.

There must be a way to adjust the setup to reduce the costs it is just bullshit. Not having paying specatators is NOT going to allow growth in the sport.

That would go for any motor sport, 4wds, bikes, cars, trucks etc...

Its getting less and less of a venture for clubs to run meetings now, I know bike racing in Sydney is going the way of the Doe Doe. Insurance is devistating.

Why, if there arent any claims being made, should it be costing more and more?? The risk cant be any different should it??

If there are no claims for 10-20 years, then why should it be any different now? Clubs are that paranoid about spectators being kept back from the action, that big screens are about the only way its happening. Shitful to say the least.

Apart from millions of scum lawyers trying to make a buck, there shouldnt be.

:The facts are INSURANCE
:Its on private land two propertys one has sold which has made entry to property hard as new owner wont let us on his land
:The property owner has said any more trouble like previous years and we are not welcome back so anyone comeing please be good
:You have to be a club member to be able to come and the clubs that have supported us the most over previous years are the first on the invite list
:The loggers in the forest legaly own the land while they are there and wont let us use a lot of the tracks so limits trips we can do
:Basicly we have been sharfted from the start and are lucky to have an event at all thats why numbers are limited the quarry will defently be on mabey even for two days see ya there if your comeing say hello im in a yellow toyota shorty amongst the nissans

I'll be there on Sunday - look for someone looking seedy.....

This is like the Offshore festival - party poopers let the team down!!!

Anyways - Its gonna be fun anyway!!

Insurance is going to bite many events real soon - going to end up like doctors - very rare....
