I'm not aware of any kit avalable to mate the 1UZ up to the std. V6 Auto. But I'm sure it would be possible. You should be able to find the info by searching the forums listed below but.

Engine mounts have to be custom made. I had new mounts made which go from the block to the original chassis mounts. But others have done it the opposite way of leaving the lexus mounts on the block and contstructing new ones off the chassis.

I thought the conversion was pretty easy....The V6 4runner are the easiest of the lot as they don't require the handbrake to be modded and are already petrol and EFI. You will need a front sump motor to clear the IFS but.

Best to use a std. ecu, and either get sideshow to wire the whole car for you, or get a loom from Venom. I have bought all my stuff through Scott at Venom.

Venoms website - http://www.venomcobras.com/WLooms.html
Sideshows website - http://spw.starkie.net/

Doing a lot myself I had mine on the road for a little over $6k......but now after being on the road for about 2 and a half years I'm probably up to $7500 with finishing touches etc.

Make sure you fit a quality water temp gauge with the install. My first motor blew a headgasket since I was using the factory gauge which was way out...and it got hot towing my old zook out to LCMP.

Heres a link to most of the pics to my install.

Apparently it is no harder then any other conversion.
Castlemaine Rod Shop and Dellows make conversion parts.

I am not sure if anyone makes readily available looms.

try this link

Once you get past the first few posts people start discussing the Lexus.

Then try these,

Hope it helps.

I’m excited…..

Literally just bought my engine, box and loom from Scott at venom. He is very helpful and will give you plenty of info that you need.

So it is a trip to QLD for me to get the engine and the conversion will start soon…. Expect the question to come flying then.

Yippeeeee

make sure you get a computer and complete harness Ichibahn quoted me $850 for an engine and it ended up costing me $1400 with the loom, AFM, ECU and some other stuff

Also check that the engine has all the accessories on it (Alt, p/s pump A/c compressor etc) that ended up costing me another $400 from memory
if it ain't broke send it to me i'll fix it!

it is easier to use the iuz box and swap output shafts as the wiring is a pita unless the box is exactly the same year model
and part no easy as to swap shaft i did it in 2 hours
