Which brake pads????

Post by brighty »

Going to be fitting slotted rotors soon to a GQ. Which brake pads would people recommend from experience.... all sorts of driving but specifically for offroad 4wd use.

Cheers.

Well i just fitted Bendix 4wd to the front of my gq (i have the twin piston brakes) and originally i thought they were crap (i posted it on here) but after a recent camping trip with my GQ very loaded up i found that the pads worked very well on and off road and didnt fade at all like my old ones (no idea what they were). They did seem to take a while to bed in though.

Bendix Metal or Heavy Duty only, wouldn't use anything else, or my or my customers cars. The metals will eat your rotors but they work really well.

I have Bendix 4wd pads in my Paj. When I had it tested (for engineering larger tyres) the brakes passed with flying colours. Never began to even smell hot during repeated stops, and pedal pressure during the emergency stop from 100km/h was on the light side.

OEM nissan pads were by far the best I ever used in my GQ.
