Suspension Drama!!!

Post by ROGQ »

just got a little drama... i picked up my 2 inch lift kit today and after bringing it home i went onto the lovell's springs website to make sure they gave me the right springs.. my front coils (DFR-41) seem to be ok (i think) they code std height and raised height the same??? beats me.. anyway my rear coils (DRR-42) match the code for a GU wagon! is there any reason they would have done this? will it fit? or could it be a F*** up? also my front springs are no where near as heavy/thick as my rear and they knew i was getting polyair bags for the rear and i asked for med duty ( more wheel travel). i thought the front would be thicker as i have steel winch bar, duel bats, etc. anyone know why this is? :x

gu coils will fit but are a lil bit stiffer. my rear coils are thicker than my fronts. front haswinch bar n is a deisel, yet the rearstill sags so i guess this may not be an issue.
only real way to kno is to throw em in n see how it goes

ps most suspension manufacturers wont sell standard height anymore they sell 2 inch lift asstandard

DRR-42 & DFR-41 are 2" raised coils for gq & gu.
The wire is thicker in the rear coils is because the rear coils have a larger diameter & have a longer free lenght.
What you have is right for a 2" lift.
cheers
