Thats what I thought, it went off way too loud just to be a tin of cooking gas.

I felt that explosion through the ground in my swag!

we were 2nd last car of the weekend. and it was all for a laugh. no one actualy thought we would move the car and only in to a massive pit.

A big to all the competitors and Navis. It was a bloody hard weekend and you all drove with such spirit! Well done to you all!

I personally thought the tracks were too hard, which from a spectators point of view, we felt bad for the drivers breaking so much shiat. Regardless of how well you're doing in comparison to everyone else, It doesn't feel the greatest being recovered from EVERY course. Also from a purely selfish spectator POV, The event ran very slow due to the large amount of recoveries. I do understand, however, that recoveries must be completed Safely.

A big thank you to the organisers though. It was overall a great weekend!(Despite the drenching on saturday!!!)

Thats true 'Tuff Truck is supposed to be hard' BUT....

We have entered Tuff Truck for a reason and that is We Know We Can Do It, when it comes to the crunch (he he no pun intened) things turn out differently.

I thought the All Terrain was too hard coming into, it was well thought out (the whole thing was, you definately had your thinking caps on, well done), don't get me wrong but maybe let some of us get a little further into the track before beefing it up.


I will say that it was great to see that the track caught out Pete and the some of the other big guns (sorry guys), they had to think about what they were going to do. They make it look very easy sometimes.

Some of the rules we were a bit dirty on, like the rear steering, only 10 deducted for the whole coarse, but when it comes the reversing 3 points for every reverse????

All in all it was a great weekend, driving and spectating wise, we met some really great people and some not so great, some of those campers are bloody idiots and have absolutely no respect for others. If you are one of those idiots whom is reading this take note for next year as you spoil it for those of us who really look forward to and care for this great event every year.

Speaking of which did the ramps for the excavator turn up??

Tough tracks all round-broken inner front axle (night stage), broken shock mount (frame twister), damaged cab and need new windscreen (Rocky Horror). i was told by a camper near the explosion, that it was a empty butian(sp) can that was thrown into the fire, because when it exploded, it set fire to a tarp near by, lucky it wasn't a tent,

Quite a few small explosions, (butane cans and deodorant cans) went off in our fire from a mystery asshat that thought it would be a laugh. Mousey's and Ice's tarps were ruined.

That big bang early on sunday morning was WAY bigger than a butane can, or a deodorant can, or the fireworks the previous night.

Anyone know why the ABT team pulled out???

Not sure what happened but at the Night stage Firetruck developed an electrical fault After that Firetruck would only run for a couple of mins until she would run ruff and stall. Thanks to all those that tried to help diagnose and fix it.

Nonetheless, Mal drove an awesome event and deserved the win, top job M8.
Mal has a first class rig but his driving experence and skill equally matches it. Congratulations go to Freckle and Nic too as it was a team effort.

Had a great weekend....wish it was closer the sunny coast. Got a bit boring with all the trucks stuck everywhere all the time.....But the beers were cold and filled in the time........ Favourite drive of the weekend would be the fridge in the mud run! Had the best night saturday night on the piss with Ryano, Gonads, Cutzook and there rest of there and our group.....never laughed so hard in my life (share the love boys )

Had the best night saturday night on the piss with Ryano, Gonads, Cutzook and there rest of there and our group.....never laughed so hard in my life (share the love boys )

Gonads is 1 of the funniest blokes I have meet. It was good to finally catch-up & it was good to have some of the other competitors come over to our camp & have some beers & lots of laughs. To see Gonads & Joel (Cutzook) laugh like Hyenas had everyone in stitches.

Hell Yeah!! It was a barrel of monkeys at the campsite Saturday Night. I still blame Joel for leading us astray.
Still not sure how many sets of tyres I gave away though. Don't tell Wayne.
Swag was drenched when I got back to it as I hadn't closed it up properly, but I have to admit I didn't really notice it until I woke up Sunday.

The comp was great. Plenty of guys out there giving it a red hot go on tracks that had plenty of big nasty's and tight corners. to everyone that lined up and gave it a crack.

Steve (Rocky Horror Stage Manager) and I thought that the first climb up Rocky Horror would have been easier than what it was seeing as many of the guys got up it in earlier years.

Sorry guys. Next year we'll design the track to be something different again.. Im hoping to get rid of that hill climb all together as its just ripped to shreds now.

When we had the test truck drive the track it looked pretty easy except for the small waterfall part because the test truck wasnt really in the same league of the guys who drive Tuff Truck. (No offence to our absolutely fantastic test driver.)

I cant even begin to describe just how fantastic the drivers and naviagtors were. Great drive guys! The vehicles were are step up..no a leap up from last year and looked awesome. Well done.

As for the rain on Saturday night..well it made some of the yobbos go to bed early I guess and let the decent people sleep..lol

That explosion..'nuff said about that.

As for the pre paid catering. Well I agree about the serving size. It was too small and I spoke to the caterers during the weekend and I think they were a bit overwhemed. To be honest they were an improvement over last years caterers as I was definately sick of eating gristle and soggy bread sandwiches..oops steak and coleslaw sandwiches..lol

Squik, your lucky that you could eat at the Bulga caterers...damn gluten free diet!!!! Good thing I brought my own food too.

And finally, I'd like the give a big thanks to the spectators. Your were well behaved and it was great to see that you had a good time.

To the ones who want to ruin it for the rest I leave a friendly reminder to leave the glass bottles in the fridge, forget the things that go bang and leave the pets at home. Thanks
