they must be harder than titanium.... and you should get 1,000,000 klms out of them at that wear rate ;)

the mickey Ts only come in a 33x12.5 (and the total diameter is only 32.5)- i'm chasing a taller tyre without going much wider-so far the only one i can find are the BFG a/t (33x10.5R15).

What car are we talking? In my limited experience some tyres seem to wear quicker on heavier cars and some seem to wear quicker on lighter cars.

My vote is for re-grooveable truck tyres for longevity or Pirelli Scorpions for a non-smart-arsed answer :D

i'm driving a HJ61 (12HT)- the pirelli scorpions also don't come in a 33x10.5-i'm starting to discover that BFG are the only ones who make them

How about going a 285/75R16 they are 33" tall and only 11" wide closest thing to a 33/10.50R15. only thing to change is the rims to a 16x8.

why do you want a 10.5 wide tyre in a 33?

more clearance (than 31)
less road noise
better economy
less aquaplaning at high speed
negligible traction disadvantage- length is important, not width
correct speedo (60 series are designed for a 32.7 inch tyre)
less punctures in the scrub

any reason the 12.5 is superior? besides better flotation in deep sand and mud? i reckon a large proportion of people go for fats simply coz they look good.

for me the advantages of the 10.5 well outweigh the disadvantages-
