fair price for a 4 door 91 Vitara

Post by Snarba »

Hi there all I need a nu car and theres a vitara at work doing nothing...just wondering whats a fair price to offer? It's a 91 model bit dirty but no rust or oil leaks and looks like its probably never been offroad. I want it for a nice cheap ( on fuel) family car. Keen for any feedback from you zook fans :D

HI mate,

Check redbook.com for prices as on there. I would also check how many k's it has done. It will give you a fair indication. Check also if it has rego and rwc.

good luck.

I got the same year model for about $4500, but already knew in advance that I needed to put a new motor in. Got an import G16 from Ichiban in Sydney for around $895. The vehicle is still going strong after 3 years. Unfortunately my ex has it now :bad-words: :bad-words:

You can save a lot on suspension by checking the bible here for suitable shocks and coils to fit. I was lucky to pick up some Tough Dog gear very cheaply from the former GRP in Sydney.

First pic is obviously stock.

Second pic is after 2" suspension, 275/75 15 BFG Muddies and 15 x 7 Sunnies.

I must have had some bargains!

$2000 For the Blue one and I lowered it and put a weber and some GV wheels on it to use as a run around.

$4500 for a four door 16V injected one with 6" Calmini kit, ARB winch bar, 6 IPF's, spare 2" tough dog kit, 5 15"x7" sunnies without tyres, 325/60R15  Muddies on 15"x8". plus heaps more gear

I cleaned it up and have put my old GV alloys on it.
