Decided to modify my Bushranger Maxair the other day. I had a small tank sitting around that was suitable for an air tank, plus I discovered there was enough room inside the standard storage bag to bolt it on the side of the Maxair and still fit in easily!
The parts used are an ARB Compressor pressure switch (switches off at 91PSI and on at 68PSI), a manifold from Supercheap, a safety relief valve, plus a few other fittings. The Maxair already has a heavy duty relay under the end cover- so it was a simple matter of wiring the pressure switch in series with the on/off switch.

No, I got sick of having to walk back and turn it off after inflating a tyre. I found the air tank lying around so decided to modify it. I can now use a air gun etc with it too- only takes about 8 secs to fill the tank with the engine off.
Don't know where the blow off valve was from, a relative gave it to me. Apparently it's adjustable underneath the plastic cap. It's got "BAR 11D6" written on the cap and is supposed to be set at 110PSI.
Mate (Noisey) got all his bits and pieces from Pirtek in Bayswater. They were very keen to help when they heard what he was working on (on-board air, Sanden 508, etc)
He's using a fully adjustable blow off valve that he's set to about 115psi. Dosen't have the little pull trigger like the one in the pic but works a treat and was pretty cheap too I believe.
