60 Series wipers

Post by Slug »

Hi all,
Posting on behalf of my old man in Townsville... The wipers on his 60 series crapped themselves last weekend and on closer inspection the plastic "bush" that allows the arm to clip over the ball on the wiper motor shite itself and allowed the arm to fall off... We assume the rest wont be far behind given its age. Toyota don't sell the bushes separately (Arm is 140 bucks) and all the ones I asked th local wreckers about are in similarly poor condition :(

Anyone struck the same issue with an older cruiser and have a solution?

TIA
Dan

You can get the bushes for around $8 each. I did this last weekend and the difference is amazing. Trick is to place the bush in the arm then slip it over the balls joint. Search for the bushes, you need two.

Need anymore help PM me.

Thank you gents :)
Old man sourced some from a local wrecker in *reasonable* nick. A few spare bushes would be a champion idea though....

Sweet, PM returned. You may need to grind a bit of the wiper arm to fit the new bushes one. It is only very little tho. You need to hear them click on or else they will come loose. The difference is amazing. Good luck.

Howdy everyone. as Joel mentioned i have the bushes for the 60 series wipers you are all chasing.
cost is $8 per bush. there are 4 bushes on the front wiper assembly i would replace them all as if you are only doing 1 or 2 you still have to take the arms out. so to do the front will cost $32 plus postage of $5.

if you are wanting some please pm me as my supply is getting low as they are selling like hot cakes. everyone wants them. so i will have to order some more.
