don't know if this helps much but on a site i see that a 33x15.50 TSL/SX tire on 15x10 steel rim weighs 40kg's.

Weight won't be the deciding factor in the freight price, it will be volume. The freighters will price according to the volume when the items are tyres, so they will more than likely need accurate dimensions over tyre weights.

I did this 2 weeks ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yep its the volume ... and a tip ...If you use a "convential pallet" then its a heigher freight cost... one of the "skip Pallets" ( slightly smaller) is the second best way to go, but sent individually was the cheapest, This way they stack em where ever there is space on the truck....
TIP:... get em sent as a single consignment .. labeled as "package 1 0f 4, 2 of 4, 3 of 4,and 4 of 4. this way they stay together but cost the minimum freight wise.
