hey all
ive got some lux diffs with warn locking hubs(these are out of a 85 hilux)
are these any good or are they crap.

i think u will fint they r from a pre84 model and i think they r weay weaker than the aisin jobbies

First model lux had them, as did the first 60 series. Never heard of one breaking, but if it did, you wouldnt be able to find any spares for it.

I have some on my 40. Never broken one, but I have seen plenty of pics of busted ones. Aisin are reportedly much stronger. I will be upgrading soon.

my new lux had warns when i got it, i have replaced them with aisin's

the warn's also use a bolt on the end of the axle which can be at times a pita to get off, if you need to take the hub off

they will be fine on your zook, if they bust, get the AISIN hubs. I ran them for a year, with a locked front and 33" swampers and only broke the one, turbo diesel 3.4L motor too.

Broke another on my next car and never wanted to see them ever again. :finger:

What about ARB's AVM free wheeling hubs, how strong are they ?

asien hubs are as cheap as SHI!T to buy
and they are a lot stronger then the warn
they don't stick out of the hum as much as the warn
and the are esier to use.
