Landcruisrer Park and LPG Issue ...

Post by Mulisha »

I'm wanting to head up to landcrusier park for easter weekend but now i have straight LPG i don't want to run out and stuff.

I only get 350kms out of 90L gas (MAX)!

So if i can get lpg from say Kilcoy that's like 70K drive back to crusier so i have say 130kms of driving around crusier.. for the drive back to kilcoy.

What do u guys reakon? Is there anywere closer ? Imbil? Anywere else?

Thanks heaps for ya help

Yeah that's what i'm thinking...

Next week or by the week after i'll have my second gas tank installed and give me another 240kms roughly of range which will make life a whole lot easyier going to places out there a bit..

Hmm maybe i have to give it a miss for this weekend...

Cheers

get a small portable LPG barbecue tank for emergencies. and of course make the fittings to make it work.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

you head threw imbil and head towards burumba dam, theres a turn off to the right onto a gravel road (i dont know the name of it) just keep following that ang it comes out opposite lcmp's driveway. its heaps quicker than going the highway threw kilcoy. it probly takes around 1 to 1.5 hours

Check out the fuel company websites for addresses and places that have LPG.

You can get lpg at the lpg place just down the road from BP in kilcoy.

Get ready for dents and damage going to cruiser!!! ;)

First time i went it was countless close calls to rolling hehe I was in an old MQ with 31's though.

Also take more than enough grog. Its a pain in the ass when you run out.
