coil sprung trailer
Hi,
Im thinking about building up my camper trailer. I am going to put coils under it with a solid axel and use shocks, the camper is under 500kg. I have a few questions but.
1 will i need upper control arms as well as 2 lowers and a panard rod?
It would be nice to just use lowers but not sure it that will work.
2 should the springs be mounted on top of axel or behind axel?
If any one has done this I would love to see some pics.
I will be running 35s on it when finished so it should be real good by the time its done. It has 10in boat trailer wheels on it at moment.
Cheers
Michael

get under it
check out that dude's on 4wd monthly's forum. From memory he had independent coil sprung suspension. Its under "my ultimate camper trailer" or something. Top build.
I cant see why you would need more than a 3-link. Two lower links and a panhard. fore and aft axle movement is taken care of by the lowers and side to side is handled by the p/hard.
