Where do I buy heim joints from? Just a normal fastener supplier? Blackwoods? Any suggestions?

Just be aware, "not all heim joints are created equal" They come in many configurations and materials.
If you want the best, get Chrome/Moly ones, they are more expensive but they're much harder to break. Aurora and QA1 are amongst the best.

They won't be for use in suspension linkages rather in an anti wrap bar rot the rear diff. As such, will the strength issue be all that important?

dude, CBC is a bearing company, and like i said "general bearing CO" they are heaps cheaper than $CBC$

see where i said it just up there? information given!! READ!

the strength isnt important, just get the little $25 each ones, the bigger ones are like $80 or $90 each and are not really worth it, you could bush every joint on your wrap bar, if you have everything set where you want it, heims are only on mine to adjust it a little, when i change springs and move things around!

also bubs, unless you are gunna get heaps of them cheap and hook up us other members of the boards, we dont wanna hear about how you gunna get it cheap! (CAUSE WE DONT CARE)

I suppose I could get a long travel spline joint from the tractor place too! - Like killing two birds with one stone!

BJ - Sorry if I don't hang out at beraing suppliers as much as you but I hadn't heard of general bearing company before. There is (according to the white pages) only one general bearing co in brisbane at morningside so I can be forgiven for not knowing that off the top of my head. CBC on the other hand has 7 sales offices across brisbane and as such I had heard of them before which is why my ears pricked up when bubs mentioned it! Thanks for the tech though. I think that I'll need to use the threaded joints as I'm not sure how long my suspension setup will stay the same. Even at $25 ea and allowing for 3 of them, the price quickly jumps up. Maybe I will have to trek over to your general bearing co and tell them BJ sent me

why use 3 heim joints, what i have done is used threaded rod to make the diff ends adjustable and a heim joint at the other end.

BJ I appologise for my smart ass reply. I was out of line, especially considering that you were the first to reply to my question.

Killalux have you used bushes at the diff end or is it just metal to metal?
