SD33 fuel pump -- where?

Post by Brendan-s »

Ok, so the Patrol isn't keeping fuel up to the injector pump, and as far as I can see no filters are blocked. I want to have a look at the fuel pump at the end near the fuel tank, but have NFI where it is. Have an FSM here that only refers to the L28 and P40 fuel pumps for some reason? Can anyone shed some light on this?

didn't think the sd33 had a pump at the tank, just the pump at the injector pump...? could be crud in the lines maybe or at the the pickup.

Clean the lines outn and check the strainer on the pick-up in the tank. It probably wouldnt hurt to run a small electric lift pump to assist the injector pump. Say your doing it for the mag and write the cost off :D

Yep the lift pump is with the injector pump.
It has a gauze filter in the banjo bolt that could be blocked.
