can a 80 or 100 series factory locked front diff centre be fitted to a hilux or bundera front housing. How much has to be modified to make it fit.

Steve,
my 80's factory locker is ran off an electric actuator which slides a pin though locking the diff and the housing is different to the standard 80 housing so I would believe not.
But I'm probably wrong, well that's what the misses is always saying

Incorrect. The hilux housing just needs a small section cut out of it. And the spring Ubolt kind of gets in the way as well but it will fit. The Factory locker is not as strong as an ARB though. And the actuator set up is prone to failure but can be modified to accept a cable i beleive.gotoy wrote:If you want to install 80 or 100 series lockers to your hilux or bundy theres only one way to go. You''ll have to fit the 80 or 100 series axles.
There is enough info in this thread on Pirate to guide the way- http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthre ... ht=elocker
