There has been questions on this before...
there are no kits available to the mq box for that motor....

so then u need motor and box which means i need transfer...

then i have a problem.... MQ rear diffs are drivers side offset where as GQ and GU diffs are centre rear offset....

so unless u want ur driveshaft going from the middle of ur car out to the drivers side MQ diff which u dont unless its a comp truck because the vibrations are insane and u bust unis... trust me i know...
Then u need to put a gq rear diff in, which means u need a GQ front diff as well to match the width and ratios....

ideally buying a GQ complete would be cheaper and easier....

if your going down the path of a different motor... then u need to look at a V8 as u can buy the kits from marks and dellows and rodshop etc to match the motor to your gear and transfer case adapters too if u need them....
or u could look at putting a V6 commodore motor and auto in there ( cant get kits to bolt the motor to the box ) and then put an MQ divorsed transfercase on the back or buy the transfer kit to bolt it up to the commodore auto....
again alot of work and u still only have a V6....

the cheapest alternative is to replace ur current motor as u can buy them for like 200 at wreckers as they are rubbish.....

or put in a V8...
