Coming Soon.... Motorsport Park on the Sunshine Coast Qld

Post by x rated »

Hey Guys,

We are getting a new motorsport Park... the proposal has been put to Council, MP's and Clubs... and it seems its go go go

Now it is in the hands of clubs and the Public to get it off the ground.

An estimated 50mil will be spent.... to build

My Buggy was spotted going through town on the trailer and i was approached by one of the organisers for input from a 4x4 side of things.

Supercars, Rally, motocross, drift, Drags you name it will be there but also there will be facilities and tracks for Rock Crawling, Short course, Driver training, Quads, you name it they want it all.

I am pushing for an in door Rock Crawling Stadium.... I've driven around the land and its an awesome location for the park

The Website is under construction and it will keep you updated with proceedings.

Keep you informed

I read about this in the newspaper just yesterday.

I am by no meens doubting your abilities, but you should try and involve Sam Overton from Werock in some form.

Even if its just asking for advice, there are LOTS of "experts" but only a few can ever make things happen.

The article caught my attention as its not just a "proposed" venue. Its all funded and ready to go.

The organisors need to see what Crawling is all about.

This will be great if it takes off, i read something about a few months ago, i doubt they will get supercars though. There is also talk of a track starting up near jacobs well area where holden performance driving thing is.Plus lakeside (yes its still all there) has been bought/leased (not sure which) by qld raceway and they will be starting racing there within the next 12-18 months.

Now i know as other like minded people do, is that 3 motorsport areas in Qld is need and will be well used.BUT there are also alot of narrowminded people that dont and they will be very hard to convince.

but yes keep us posted x rated if you get more info

cheers

The proposed site is the state forest to the south/west of the Caloundra exit on the Bruce Highway when your heading Nth.

Will chase up a map and put it up here.

Please if you have any Questions or Ideas Please call Keith 0415 356 265 or David 0413 445 862

i didn't believe this until i head it mentioned on HG and Roy (pod-cast) the other day. Seems like an American company has bought roughly 400 hectors of land for this.....i think their betting on all of us having a disposable income to throw at making top fuelers, and what not.
i don't need no stinking quote for my sig. line!
