I gave it a go on the GU over the weekend. Varying results. Small depression dents on flat door panels about the size of a 50 cent piece and a couple of mm deep were fixed using the dry ice. Any dent that went over a fold line of sheet metal made no difference. Dents around structural parts of the vehicle like near the rear windows or across hte area under the windscreen. Also any dent that had deformed the metal like from getting hit with a sharp object nothing happened.
So i reckon for small dents on flat sheet metal it would work which is why it is an old hot rodders trick. Don't think it will work as well on modern formed 4wds. Might work on Sierras and Land rovers though with their big flat panels.
