hi all, long time no speak.
I have purchased a 96 suzuki from the auctions, it was a repairable write off. Ii have fixed it and i need to get it inspected, has anyone done this before with any car and do they know the process?
I have tried calling the company that does the inspection but to no avail. Im getting so frustrated that im tempted to just buy a vin number plate of an old zook and rivet that on so i can get it on the road. I can understand that its illegal, but I have tried calling the authorities to get things moving, but after 10 messages left and no phone calls back im getting fed up.
Any ideas would be appreciated, I wanna get this thing on the road and come out with you guys again...
Cheers

help
its a wierd setup up here, from what i know there is only one place in queensland that can do the inspection for repairable write off cars. I bought the car as a fun project- which it was, but now its just ticking me off. Does anyone want a trailer rig? haha
hi i dont know if the laws in vic are the same but i just recently put a repairable writeooff back on the road. if the car is over 10 years old it doesn't need to be inspected only needs a roadworthy. hope the law in qld is the same as it saved me heaps of time and $400 not having to get it inspected.

My bro just had his Soarer done.
He had to first get a roadworthy certificate and then book it in with QLD transport for a written off vehicle inspection. For the inspection, you're meant to have receipts for all work that was done to fix it, but if you don't, there are other things that they let you do to get around it (signed letter from a JP).
Get a roadworthy then head in to QLD transport and get them to book you for an inspection. In Bris, there was a 3 week waiting list.
