Thanks to On All 4's 4WD club for putting on a great weekend, and a big thanks to all of the other clubs for their efforts too. I really enjoyed myself, this was my first jamboree and the second comp I have ever driven. I was quite surprised when they called my name as coming first in the Outlaw womens class! I was also very happy to see my husband Chris from Hi Tech 4x4 come first in the Outlaw mens class! We had a fantastic weekend and look forward to next year!
On behalf of the J7 Committee I'd like to thank everyone who turned up over the weekend you guys made the event a success. And to all the Clubs and People that helped out, J7 would not have been possible without you, a big thank you goes out to the South Coast, Raymond Terrace, Maitland Districts, Canobolas, All Terrain, Suzuki, Bungarribee, Camden Camping & Recreation, Traction 4 and All Wheel Drive Clubs and the guys from the Downunder Forum for running the events.
And thanks to the event Sponsors, Pro Comp Tyres, AJays Smash Repairs, Andrews Race Cars, HiTech 4x4, JMac Diff & Gear, Snowy's Auto & Marine Trim, Blackrat, Kennards Hire, Mannell Motors, ARB Penrith, Terrain Tamer, Total Care 4x4, Downunder 4x4 and My Action Images, without people and companies like these J7 would not have been possible.
And last but not least the members of the On All 4's club that spent 1 or 2 days every weekend down at Dargle for the last couple of months getting the place ready, and all the rest that helped out cooking the BBQ all weekend, or manning the front gate, well done and thank you.
Now for the dissapointing part of the weekend, someone vandalized the property owners machinery that was up above the camp site near the light tower, we think it was kids (you would hope so) to say the owners of the property are not pleased is an understatment, we spent the afternoon repairing what we could and the rest we have to pay for, what a way to top off a great event.
Richard.

Richard that is very disappointing, and I would hope that as this was a clubs event, that all club presidents raise it at their next meeting.65Mog wrote:Now for the dissapointing part of the weekend, someone vandalized the property owners machinery that was up above the camp site near the light tower, we think it was kids (you would hope so) to say the owners of the property are not pleased is an understatment, we spent the afternoon repairing what we could and the rest we have to pay for, what a way to top off a great event.

It was a top Jamboree, 99% of people were great in their attitude and behaviour; I for one would like to publicly thank my club members (Blue Mountains) for their great spirit and responsible approach all weekend. The 1% who didn't follow rules (like going too fast around camp areas, or other irresponsible behaviour) will hopefully get the message.
If we all want to have jamborees to attend to in the future, we all need act responsibly, especially on other people's property.
JMO
Cheers, Tony
