Chances are they will try get out of it like dealerships do but just keep asking if one manager won't do it ask for his bosses name and contact number and just keep going up till something is done if it isn't your fault that it's shagged. General driving i reckon you should get about 150 out of a clutch like to know what people think about the expected life of a clutch thats driven generaly not thrashed

Out work lux started shuddering after 5000kms and Toyota fixed it under warranty.
I have been told by a reliable source that they have a problem with the fly wheels and toyota are telling the dealers to keep changing clutches until they come up with a fix.

Tell the dealer that you know of several other people that have had it done under warranty, that may help

We've had two V6 ones do their clutches in very early in their life aswell at work. As far as i am aware they were done under warranty.

No questions asked... the guy's at toyota were really good....

I went in... told them my probs and they eventually got it right.....

but really a clutch after 20,000km... even my mum couldn't achieve that!

quite a few new hilux's have their clutches dying, I would strongly suggest going onto the forum @ www.newhilux.net and there is a thread regarding it, I do believe Toyota is replacing the clutch and/or gearbox under warranty.
