80 series roll cage.

Post by Kev80 »

Has anyone fitted a roll cage to a 80 series Cruiser ?

Not looking for a 4 point cage or anything major, just maybe a single loop ect.

Steel or alloy ?

Any ideas ???

id go steel
why not a 4 point?
if u dont wanna 4 point i spose u just want a single loop over the back of the front seats right????????
that shouldnt be too hard too make if uve got a pipe bender and a welder
u could make a simple 4 point cage
just have a mounting point either side of the front floor pans and then run it back behind the seats
that would be a front protection system onlytho

Yeah only after driver protection, mounted behind the front seats.

Thinkin of mounting the base to the floor pan & not the chassis :?: , & also wondering how to fix it to the top of the door pillers. (keeping it neat)

What about a Cargo barrier? If thats not the go, then you could use the seatbelt holes in the uprights to brace the top of the loop. (An old Laser of mine used this idea)
