So anyone cut down a Vit hardtop and put it on a Sierra LWB Chassis?
Im thinking the Body mount would be a big job, but you know all the bits off the 1.6mpfi is going to fit really well.
Just a concept ive been thinking of.

Couldn't think of a good reason to do this.
The vitara chassis is a very unusual shape that also lends itself to a SAS pretty easily.
the vit body follows the contours of the chassis very closely so unless you wanted to run a massive BL, you would have to cut most of the floor out of the vit to get a close fit.
At then end of the day you would have to swap the axles to something wider anyway and just end up with a tall, wobbly, narrow tracked leaf spring Vit.
PS would also be very difficult to register.

The reason I was thinking of it was that I have a 83 Ute with Bundy diffs.
The Body is a hardtop cut into a extra cab ute and is just about stuffed! (Bog and rust etc.)
Also it already has a Vit auto in it and the tunnel has not been done very well.
So I thought it maybe better and a easy fix to cut down and swb hardtop and put that on. BUT!!!!!!!!
As this has no engineering done on it yet it maybe better to find and Vit lwb and put all the running gear under it and I will end up with a better rig??
Thanks
