PULP is only good for high compresson cars and bikes maybe 4x4 motors as well seeing as they go for slightly larger pistons etc for more torque.guzzla wrote: I would be keen to get your feedback based on your own EXPERIENCES using different types of fuel. Searching other sites it seems certain vehicle makes respond better to a single brand of fuel ie late model fords seem to like BP ultimate as a general rule and Minis prefer Shell V Power.
Anyone else recon the extra dollars at the bowser is justified by the return.

CBR600RR here,
on the bike I would only use optimax or v-power 1st then vortex after that I'd try to never use BP fuel as the bike chews up their fuel.
With Optimax I would get a 4-5 days of easy going riding, on BP easy going would only last 2-3 days plus run like crap after 2-3 tanks.
Vortex was good in the middle type fuel might get 3-4 days but the engine would be good all the time.
Compresson on the bike is 12:1
I could see the differance myself.
Shell say don't use their PULP on un-tuned carby (motor bikes mainly) because it's denser and can clog up the carby you need the carby to be tuned for their fuel.
With the BP and Vortex I found they are mixes as in they take stock ULP fuel and add octane booster doing this doesn't effect carbys.
The Shell PULP isn't a mix.
But now that I've gotten a Diesel I'm really prefering the Diesel to petrol in a major way, if your wanting to travel far get a Diesel.
