Got Gears

Post by fool_injected »

Swapped transfers from soon to comp truck to my daily driver today
Now got series 3 Rock Hoppers in my daily drive
Mucked around near home 'test driving', awsome :D
Big test tommorrow can't wait

Did have time to swap the locked diffs and wheel spacers  , next weekend :D

Will 33's fit on SOA and 2" spring?

EDIT: Now got a working handbrake and hey theres a 4wd light on the dash I have never seen before

Went for first run today with the guys from the Zuk Club
Excellent day, thanks guys

Well crawler gears are like ice, once youve tried them your hooked for ever
On road acceleration is improved and hills are noticably more manageble
Off road climbs are out of this world but decents is probally when I noticed the additional control more
Just got to get used to using a little less throttle (no need to bounce over now)

I am rapt. If you ask me fit gears before lockers

Congrats, youve discovered the wonder of decent ratios in a sierra. Best mod for a zook ever imo.

Easier to 100kmph and still a little bit left to play with :D
More responsive on road in general, can climb hills now
1st and 2nd may be a little too low but 3rd 4th and 5th are fine

Offroad is something else altogether
The firts obstacle I come to I was riding the clutch until my navi razed me about
Got of it a little too quick, washed that much speed off I lifted the ass end in the air
Crawling ability is awsome, wheel spin is almost no existant by comparison
Idling over rocks feels safer than launching at them
On a negative side the slower speeds and extra load showed up cooling system deficiencies
