Injectors/ fuel filter

Post by Bruzar »

How are ya all,,,,

a little more advice i need.....

I have a 4.2 after market TURBO diesel GQ. What are sevice intervals for the fuel filter?

ALso i had my injection pump recondition 10,000kms ago. i did not do the injectors though. The reason was that its not blowing excess smoke and running great 110kw at motor.

So question is do i bother having injectors done even though no signs of having them done is needed? or do i wait for visible signs that they need to be done?

Car has done 240,000kms and previou said he never had them done either.....

Thankyou

we got 340 000 on injectors in the wagon just changed them, 400 000 in ute only canged for modded ones with big pump but pump was leaking. If its running ok leave it. A deisel shop can test them but you have to remove them so if goin that far spend the $450 n get them done

I think Nissan recommends about 100,000 kms for injectors. Yes, they still will work but not efficiently if the injector nozzels are worn. That is pretty much a for sure after the kms you have on your truck. You can get new ones - not rebuilt - from Hiflo for around $300 and install them yourself.

deisel shops Ive spoken to say after 150 000 - 250 000 km they should be done n 100 000 - 200 000 for toyota injectors, they are not hard to fit only takes a couple of hours. If your doin gu injectors one has a knock sensor it has a double hex on it the rest are all single hex
