best way to clean carbon

finally ripped the motor down , and found heavey carbon deposits on the pistons, whats the best way to clean them ???

also the valves are a tad rusty whats the best way to clean them down also?

wire brush wheel in the grinder for the valves and sandblast the pistons.
bundy's suck ass

Don't sand blast them unless you are removing the pistons from the rods.

But a razor or scraper will get most of it off in ten seconds and then some carby cleaner to sprooce them up. DO NOT buff the skirts of the pistons with any form of abrasive.

The valves, are you talking about the heads of the valve or the seats. If the head of the valve is rusty then clean it with some steel wool and CRC. If the seats are rusty they need to be lapped in or ground. If you are removing the valves from the head then a wire buff is ok, but not on the seating face.

yeah iv just pulled the head off with valvea still in looking at them they are a s\tad rusty yeah ,
