454 BB slots straight in to the frame rails. May need a bit of firewall massaging though.
Run it with the 1.3 for a while and learn to drive it. Then, if you can afford the expense. Go for a 4age.

I have been building cars with members here in vic for years and years... EFI conversions, autos, 36's power steer, RUF full cages yada yada yada. Right now I am driving a 1.0 tray with a 2" bl, shackles, old springs a 6:1 and a welded rear diff.
It's slow, noisy, about 1 metre too narrow,
has no steering lock, hangs up the tray everywhere, and the carby 1.0 is doing my head in. I have all the stuff to fully rebuild it into what I really want, but I am out driving a suzuki for the first time in 10 years, and I am enjoying having to pick easier lines rather than all the hard lines in the Gwagen, working with the gearing, and generally engaging with doing it hard.Take it easy, learn the car- I have worked with cars with carby 1.6 vits, EFI vits, 660 turbos, jimny motors - and they all have their advantages. What works for you will depend on far too many variables than we could answer here.
Don't fall into the trap of just chasing HP. Suzukis do not handle high speed off road well so it is very difficult to control high HP.
About 75kw is all you really need with tyres in the 31 range.

There is a trend emerging here
We get a surprising number of people that come on their first club trip with their standard car, then they think they need a built car to enjoy driving (wot?) so they pull their car apart, get it 1/2 done, run out of time and money and we never see them again.
Just an observation.

ive been toying with the idea of a electric DC motor with batterys and a small gen to charge them. one big motor and still use the g'box and clutch.
