Carby Adjustment Screw

Post by just cruizin' »

Where do I find the adjustment screw on an auto chock carby.

Put a replacement engine in with my original intake and carby, didn't change anything on the set and now the "new" engine idles at 2000 rpm, any one know why?

I'd look at the inlet manifold gasket. Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Pour water over gasket while engine is running, if it splutters you need to replace gasket.

What adjustment, the choke adjustment screw, or the normal idle speed adjustment screw?? Check to make sure that you have no leaks, and that the coolant is flowing through your auto choke lines properly, and you dont have an air pocket there causing the choke to stay on. Confirm that your choke is fully open when the car is at operating temp.
