Ya know if Sean can win and roll over that much. I would hate to see what he can do if he could keep it on all fours the entire event.

TEAM KNECK wrote:Was an awsum weekend. Good courses very technical .
The atmosphere seemed to be back to the good old days where everyone was there just for the fun.
Some cool looking new buggies and teams.
I think nearly every team had an outstanding drive on at least one of the courses.
Breakages were very minimal which meant all the courses flowed fairly well and were finished in good time.
Thanks to the organisers for putting it on.

Our favourite drive was definatley the Shootout course and was good to Have a very tight run with Dave all weekend.

SAM
that was because that was about the only course you didnt roll on :finger:

Yep we stuffed up the scoring. Basically, the error was caused by the new computer operating system we are using for the first time this year. Last year we ran the Kate and Beck computer operating system and this year we got the Sam and Tom setup and it hasnt quite done the job in this first event.

The scores on the event score board were correct as they were written but we stuffed up the Day 2 total of Sean Langley. We had the total of Sean Langley as 66 instead of a Day 2 total of 76. Which means that Dave Camp won the event by the nearest of margins of only 2 points.

We have no excuse for this error and sincerely apologise to all involved. We will endeavor to ensure that this wont happen again by running two totally independent score sheets instead of both checking the same score sheet.

Again really sorry for this fawk up.

Competitors Name A1 A2 A3 A4 "A Course
Total" B1 B2 B3 B4 "B Course
Total" "A & B
Course Totals" "Shoot
Out" "Total
Overall"
Peter Antunac / Tarrant Baguley 3 24 -2 25 2 0 13 15 40 16 56
Jamie Way / Geoff Walton 39 39 18 96 37 18 37 92 188 50 238
Rodney Owen / Jamie Hughes 13 37 0 50 8 7 10 25 75 10 85
David Burton-Bradley / Greg Heick 50 50 50 150 50 50 50 150 300 50 350
Tim Scutt / Ben Graham 38 36 38 112 38 1 8 47 159 50 209
Adrian Berthelsen / Wes Clifford 38 24 -1 61 0 0 21 21 82 -1 81
Damien McCotter / Tony Rolfe 50 50 8 108 50 50 50 150 258 50 308
Ben Carcellor / Troy Saw 13 38 10 61 8 13 18 39 100 39 139

Ben Haynes / Dan Pitt 21 20 40 81 29 2 37 68 149 40 189
Mark Casey / Michael Eather 39 39 50 128 40 36 24 100 228 40 268
Dave Camp / Hayden Smith 0 20 1 21 22 35 7 64 85 39 124
Sean Langley /Sam Keck 8 39 -1 46 40 -2 38 76 122 4 126

So final Promodified results are
1st Dave Camp - 124 penalities
2nd Sean Langley - 126 penalities
3rd Ben Haynes - 189 penalities

Geez people have been quiet since this was posted ........... ;)

Its a shame that it happened .....but with all wrk that goes into organising an event like this year after year .....there has to be a glitch every now and then .......and it will only make things better in the long run .

Atleast it stopped Dave taking another win for a week or two anyway ......

Howz that 8humpy goin Dave :finger:

Has been quiet. I mean its a really big fawk up on our part. Imagine if this happened at the Aust finals or the Worlds???

When I worked it out I almost died.

I think back in 2005 the guys played a joke on me and convinced me that I had fawked the scores.....the first thing I said is "you havnt told anyone have you????"....almost died then too.

I used to think that course design, event flow and making sure the competitors could run challenging courses without killing thier rigs was the most important things. I now think scoring is king. A fawkup like this will never happen again.

I think its not the problem at hand its the way that its delt with :!: And on this account shit happens and the problems now rectified. It did add some sting to the shootout coarse though with the top 2 being so damn close. Brought out some shit hot driving
These problems will occur every now and then but hay we are all human so who cares

Is a bit frustrating but shit happens I guess. We have no anamosity towards Dave or We rock after all it is supposed to be all about the fun.
I was probably the first person to ring up Dave and congradulate him. 2 points is a very close score so if it is that close for the rest of the season will be an awsum specticle to watch.
With no disrespect to any other competitor our aim this year is to win an event outright so where we come in the promod class is just a bonus. :D
