What MT tyre do l need????
lm feedup with getting dirt, small rocks, twigs caught in the bead.
G'day...Im looking for some advice based on experience. The type of motor is a LC80 GXL with the usual mods, OME2", ARB Bar/Winch, fridge, sliders-steps, toolbox, etc etc, so its probably weighing a bit more than spec. Rims are 16x8jj's.
lm interested to find out what type of Muddy, Coopers ,Mongrl, BFG (but dont like there pattern) Maxxis, Silverstone, Pedes, Micky T's, etc that have the best bead bind to the rim at all pressures. Most travel will be over rocks and in mud. Pressures that l would be running are 18psi - 44psi on 33" or 34" tyre.
Please note that l currently run Micky Thompson FC11 33" and l really want an aggressive tread pattern for my second set.
Currently
Thanks in advance

My experience with Mickey Thompson Radial Claws has been 2nd to none. I run 35s on a 16x8 at 14psi and never had and issues with crap in the beads, staked tyres or rolling off the rims in 2 sets and 100,000+ks.
They have very thick side walls which contribute to their superior performance over other radial MT i believe.
Good luck in your search....

if your talking "AGGRESSIVE PATTERN FOR A SECOND SET", then look at Simex's or Swampers... Normal MT's IMWO you could do better for a second set than normal MT'sBarn wrote:Please note that l currently run Micky Thompson FC11 33" and l really want an aggressive tread pattern for my second set.
l have a second set of super swampers, but there not the right size for the toyo rim. they will be sold. External beadlocks...l'll be checking them out... also a couple of other brands suggested that l had not thought of looking at.
what is it with the rims....though. lve had BFG ATs (31's) with same problem, and same problem with Micky T's Fc11 (33's). Is it the shape of lip on the rim where it makes the bead with tyre....Does anyone else ever had this problem. l drive medium/hard stuff but not extreme and l crawl when the track warrants it.

mtr's or mtz's. or for a cheaper tyre buckshots or mudstars.
