Hi all, can anyone tell me how they put 80 series cv's on a gq diff, are the slines the same and just weld on 80 truinions?
Is it cheaper and easier to go gu front?

probly cheaper adn easyer to go GU front BUT 60's front with long fields is the fashiznik!

With in the next few weeks Cal @ Caloffroad in berrydale will have heavy duty CV and axle sets for GQ's. As far as i know they are made by the same manufacturer that makes the well known and proven longfield cv's and axles for Bobby long for toyota's.

Have a chat to Cal as these should give you all the strength, with out any major mods.

I just spoke to Cal about the cvs they sound like are are gonna be stronger then gu cvs any way. Reckon id try them before buying a gu diff.

Yeah any idea on price would be good, and is he doing the whole axle and cv or jst the cv.
Most of the time I break a cv and the axle is stuffed also.
It sounds good though if they are as good as that!

he told me that they would be sold as stronger cv and stronger axle together, give him a call on price as its not my place to say, he is very good to speak with.
