1. what are you putting it into? a 1 litre or 1.3?
2. in brief,
- new engine/chassis mounts about 75mm in front of existing chassis mounts.
- a new rear trans mount (and crossmember, with the mounting surface
about 25mm above chassis rail)
- 2" body lift,
- cut a larger hole for gear shifter
- because gearbox sits right back, you will end up tossing the 'jack shaft',
and fabricating a 'coupling' type setup using 1 of 2 methods, either welding a plate to the slip shaft that comes off the spline at the g'box, or you will get the toyo tailshaft, and basically cut(machine) the tubing off the casting the uni fits in, and weld the plate to that. It then bolts directly to the transfer case. I'd suggest this method as it allows a bit of 'misalignment'.

Note: this is a guide only, based on what I did (I've since ripped it all out and have put in a `original' 1.3zook motor due my 4K crapping itself) .

The engine that is in the engine bay photo, yes (looks like the one I've got...).

Mine comes from a earlier model corolla, not the one shown.
Could well be the same, I'm not sure as to which years exactly it was used.

The 4-AC should be an easy swap as the Twin Cam 4-AGE is a very popular conversion here in Aus.

PM Becky http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... ile&u=1152 Her husband Chad has done a couple of these conversions and knows a lot about them and should be happy to help out with any problems.

Thanks you guys for your recommendation.

Due to some laws in Singapore, we have decided to tackle the problem of building a rig in Singapore.

We have chose to build up a soft top vitara. 8 valve.

Wish me luck !

Do you know that it is illegal to change to a bigger tyre. Even a 215 / 75 / R15

Singapore is such a fine city.

Too bad. Think the system in Singapore is one with a good reputation. Get my drift.

Our vehicle has to go for a inspection evey year or so. Furthermore, if one of the moble squad see you modded vehicle on the road. There you go. Remove all mod, send for re-inspection and here comes a heafty fine.
