New Clutch Vibration

Hi Guys

I have a GQ shortie with 2-3inch lift. I extended the lower trailing arms and had no vibrations after that.

2 months ago I had the clutch changed and over the weeks a new vibration has developed.

Driving 0-60km/h not a problem.
If you gear down from 4th to 3rd it virbrates a little while you release the clutch.
When in 4th doing 80km/hr it vibrates under load and goes away when you back off. This is even worse when doing 100km in 5th.

I hope it is not to do with the clutch and more like an engine or gearbox mount.

Has anyone had a similar issue?

Mate had this in his GQ SWB after going to 3" coils, he had to put in gear-box spacers to make it go away....

Make sure your uni joints are nice and full of fresh grease aswell, and see if that makes any difference.

I had fixed all the vibration since the lift and was happy.

If the flywheel was not machined when changing the clutch, could that cause these symptoms?

I dont really remember feeling the vibration a few weeks after the clutch change.

I hope I dont have to get it all pulled out again.

Id rather it be a uni or engine mount and just fix it up.

make sure they did ur tailshaft up properly, and make sure they didnt flip it end for end, duno why but thats made a difference in some gq's

if the tail shaft has been flipped the unis may be runnin in a diferent position in the cup you should always try ro run the slip joint at the gear box end to keep the slip joint out of the mud n shit
Try grease your tali shaft if it doesnt help I would replace the uni"s.
Another Idea check the tail shaft hasnt been seporated n put back together out of phase Ive had this once before on a customers car the mechanic had dropped the bottom half of the shaft off when they had undone the flange, just s thought

Just got my grease gun from ebay and crawled under the car.

Just noticed that the tail shaft might be the wrong way after all.

The thin part of the slip is towards the front and the large at the rear.

DOH

Is it it back to front?

Turned the tail shaft around today. It changed it a little but not fixed.
At least it is the right way round now

If this happened slowly maybe the tailshaft being around the wrong way stuffed the uni's?

Once the tailshaft is out is it hard to change the uni's?
