88 classic ECU pinouts-dont match PDF

Post by fnukle »

Hi all im tracing an injector fault.
88 rangie classic, 3.5 flapper.
Entire right hand side bank injectors arnt firing.
Fuel pressure is fine no problems there so im trying to do the ecu plug tests as per (RAVE)the Landrover workshop pdf manuals, in the rangerover classic section and also the 87-89 Service manual.

My issue
PDF shows the ecu and ecu plug as having 3 rows of pins with a total of 40 pins.

My ecu has only 2 rows of pins and 35 pins.
Wire colours dont match any pinout numbers either so cant even guess which ones to try.
I assume australian models must be different to the english/french etc.

Can anyone tell me anything/where to get the correct pinouts/manuals/EFI tests etc for my setup. Thanks for your time fellas[/b]

G`day , can`t be much help at the moment .

I think the flappers 35 pin and the hotwire is 40 pin that`ll be the difference .

The injectors work in banks , possibly the problem will be related to the resistor pack .

Yep flapper AU ECUs are different to UK ones .

There`s a Morgan site , don`t have the address at moment .

If you Google Morgan Plus 8 or maybe this will work but make sure your looking at the flapper stuff , it should show you enough .

www.gomog.com/allmorgan/plus8.html
