Watch out for Qld Transport with those clearance lights as indicators. When I enquired I was told indicators and parking lights must be ADR compliant AND marked so.mrmagoo wrote:thats like what i was thinking of.
what are those blinkers and parkers off?

UUUUuuummmm, yes you're correct and when I'm told "Offically" I'll change them.
What brand are they and do you have part numbers. Have you changed your flasher unit to a no load unit to make them flash at the correct speed?Aerenandmel wrote:I have simillar shaped LED blinker & park lights that are adr approved (and marked) and they only cost me 10 bucks each from a truck shop!
www.brightlightautoparts.com have the lights that you seek.

A $165 "official" direction.. NOTHANKS.. I didn't want to run the risk of being pulled over for something as obvious(& silly) as lights, and then have a ticket issued for tyres, trackwidth, no mudflaps, spotlights etc etc etcjust cruizin' wrote:want33s wrote:Watch out for Qld Transport with those clearance lights as indicators. Need to look after the sponsors, that said they are a cool light.grimbo wrote:man you do your sponsors some great service
I found another place in the US that does the ones I gave a link for at a lot less but can't the link at the moment. I just like the stealth look of them.
Do you have any pics of the lights on the Sierra?

I reckon its good that you do pimp them. If the products are good and you use them why not tell people about them. Much better praising good products and service than slagging off bad stuffsierrajim wrote:Need to look after the sponsors, that said they are a cool light.grimbo wrote:man you do your sponsors some great service

They may be adr approved as clearance lights but prob not indicators and parkers. I had similar ones on mine that were adr approved but i still got defected for them in qld transport inspection.Aerenandmel wrote:I have simillar shaped LED blinker & park lights that are adr approved (and marked) and they only cost me 10 bucks each from a truck shop!

i like the style of the blue one in the second pic. are those side bars on the 45degree angle just there for the blinkers protection or for overall strength.?
Thats what i want but if i can get away with not using those i will for sure.
Oh and i had a good look at a few blinkers on different cars 4x4 etc and didnt
see any adr compliance markings on any of them.
I can get wholesale prices on trailer lights and have found some clearance lights that are similar to the guard blinkers on the zook that i may use.
Keep the advice and pics coming cos it will be a good help to others too.
Thanks dan

The 45 side bits are more for strength than looks, just convenient the indicators fit there I think.
As for which lights you use, thats up to you.
